Biography

Arthur was born in India in 1867. He was sent back to England for his education and went to Trinity College, Oxford. He married Alice Bessie Shepard in 1910, in London, England. He lived in Paddington, London, England, United Kingdom in 1901 and Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London, England, United Kingdom in 1911. He was the author of "A List of Birds of Inner London" (British Birds Vol 22 1929). He wrote an annual supplement on the birds of Inner London from 1929 to 1940 and a number of other reports on London's birds. He was the official Bird Observer for Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens from 1928 to 1939.
