Biography

Hannah Potter was born on 6 October 1762, in Dartmouth, Bristol, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Her father, Stokes Potter, was 41 and her mother, Phebe Durfee, was 39. She married Peleg Hart (1761-1840) on 16 March 1781, in Dartmouth, Bristol, Massachusetts, United States. ^{[1] [2]}They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 9 daughters. Hannah received Revolutionary War Pension payments for her husband, Hart-10474, military service in 1840 and 1848. ^{[3] [4]} She lived in Newstead, Erie, New York, United States in 1850. ^[5] She died on 11 September 1851, in Akron, Newstead, Erie, New York, United States, at the age of 88, and was buried in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Akron, Newstead, Erie, New York, United States. ^[6]
