Anders was born in Arboga town 22 August 1775 to the construction carpenter Nils Westerman and his wife Catharina Ersdotter.[1]
Anders Westerman became an apprentice with the potter Anders Jernholm.[2]
The estate inventory of his parents, who both died in 1811, mentions that Anders Westman in a maker of tiled ovens in Stockholm.[3]
Master builder of tiled ovens Anders Westman married Jungfru Sophia Margareta Åström 17 June 1802.[4]
They had at least six children. The household records for Stockholm usually has his birth date as 3 October 1775, when there is a full date. Some of the children were born in Katarina parish, but the family lived in Klara at least from 1822.[5][6]
When Anders Westman died 29 October 1838 he was a widower and alderman of his guild. He was survived by five of his children. The estate inventory states that he was born 20 August 1775 in Arboga as Anders Westerman.[7]
