Biography
Betty was born 21 Aug 1920, in Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Sammy and Madge Morrow. She grew up in Hollywood, California and was a graduate of Hollywood High School.
In 1940, 19-year-old Betty was living with her parents and three younger Beach, Los Angeles, California. No occupation is listed for Betty nor either of her parents.[1]
Betty married actor Frankie Darrow, 19 Mar 1943, at the Long Beach Naval Hospital in Long Beach, California.[2] He was then on active duty in the U.S. Navy. Betty and Frankie had one daughter, Darlene Ada (b. 25 Jan 1946). The couple initially separated in March 1947, at which time Betty complained that Fankie's favorite past times were "working, drinking, and sleeping." Neither she nor their daughter was on that list.[3] Apparently the couple did reconcile for a while, but in January 1951, they separated again and in July 1951 Betty was granted a divorce on the grounds of cruelty.
Betty married second, Donald B. Cranbourne, that same year. They divorced in October 1969, in Los Angeles. [4]
Betty passed away in 1986.
