Lieut. George J. Louis, Sr., retired head of the motorcycle dlvlsion of the Baltimore Police Department, died early yesterday at his home. 620 St. Dunstans road He was 70. Lieutenant Louis, whose only son, George, Jr., is now serving in the same department, was appointed to the police force in 1912, and was the last of the five patrolmen who inaugurated the city's motorcycle corps of traffic officers. He was made lieutenant in 1923 and became head of the division at that time. He was commended several times for action in the line of duty.

Funeral services will be conducted from a funeral home at York road and Forty-second street at 11 A.M. on Monday, and burial will follow In the Parkwood Cemetery. Parkville.

In addition to his son, Lieutenant Louis is survived by his wife, Mrs Margaret E. Louis, and a brother, Harry C. Louis, of Oakland, California (Find a Grave Bio)
