George was born in 1907. He was the son of Albert Billman and Viola Minich. The 1910, 1920, and 1930 census information shows him living with his parents in Perry County, Pennsylvania. [1][2][3]In about 1932 he married Virginia Nary Hench. The 1940 census shows him living with his wife and children in Perry County, Pennsylvania. His occupation at this time is listed as a real estate appraiser. [4] In 1944 he enlisted in the United States Army and was a World War II veteran.
