Edward Stradling was born in Glamorgan, Wales.

Edward Stradling, son of Thomas Stradling of Llantrisant by wife, Catherine, daughter of John ap Llewelyn Waidd of Talygarn, ^[1] was born about 1570 in Brofiscin, Meisgyn, Glamorgan, Wales.

Edward and Anne Lougher, daughter of Watkin Lougher of Tythegston ^{[1] [2]} were married after their September 1592 marriage settlement. ^[3]

They had the following children. ^[1]

• Watkin, married Margaret, daughter of John Thomas of Bevan Fawr (had issue)
