Research Notes

When looking for sources for this profile none were found in the first names provided. However it was noted that More McEwan was having children with Archibald McKellar in Inverchaolain, Argyll in the correct timeframe. The couple had a daughter Katharine baptised on 20 February 1761 and a daughter Ann in 1758. Could Janet actually have been baptised as Katharine?

Seonaid is the Scots Gaelic translation of Janet.
