George was born about 1757 and baptised 7 Jul 1757 at Saint Benet, Gracechurch and Saint Leonard, London. His parents were Abraham and Frances Dupuis.[1]
He married Caroline Elizabeth Stevens on 12 Sep 1793 at St Mary, Hanwell, Middlesex.[2]
He died 6 Mar 1839 at Wendlebury, Oxfordshire and was buried at St Giles, Wendlebury.
His headstone reads:
In memory of George Dupuis, M.A. Rector of Wendlebury nearly fifty years.
Endeared to his family by the tenderest affection, to his friends by guileless courtesy, to his parishioners by unassuming benevolence, universally regretted for his many excellencies, in this village, it's neighbourhood, and the whole circle of his acquaintence, he died as he had lived, in peace, both with his God and with the world, and in humble reliance on his redeemer, March the Sixth MDCCCXXXIX, In the eighty-second year of his age. Also in memory of Caroline Elizabeth Dupuis, the wife of the above,
who died April the Eighth MDCCCXLIII in her seventy fourth year. This tablet is erected by their surviving children.[3]
