Biography
Erich Nilsson was born in Främshyttan in 1634 to honest parents.[1]
In 1663 Erich Nilsson lived in Främshyttan, neighbour with his father, Nils Jönsson. He had a wife named Karin.[2]
Looking at the taxation records, 1661 is the first year Erik Nilsson has a wife.[3] This means that he married when there is a gap in the records.
Erich was married twice. His first marriage lasted 20 years, he was then a widower for seven years.[1] Since his first wife died 17 September 1679 it is not correct that he was a widower for so long.[4] With no marriage record and a nameless death record we do not know the full name of Karin #1.
Erich Nilsson in Främshyttan married Karin Hansdotter, who served with Daniel Olsson in Darsbo, 29 September 1681.[5] This was his second marriage.
Erich Nilsson in Främshyttan died 26 January 1697. He had two sons and four daughters in his first marriage and one son in his second. The latter may have been the only child to survive him.[1] According to the obit of his daughter Brita, he was nicknamed Tugbus (chewing tobacco).[6]
