Biography

Mary McKinnon was born about 16 September 1859 and was baptised on 26 August 1860 at Ballan, Victoria. She was the daughter of Duncan McKinnon and Mary Matilda McClennan.

She married Andrew Minchin (the son of Andrew Minchin and Ann Haddrill) in 1881 in Ballan, Victoria, Australia. They had the following children:

2. Leonard Andrew Minchin (b. 1883, d. 1901)
3. Anne Minchin (d. 1934)
4. James Minchin (b. 1886, d. 1886)
5. Duncan Minchin (b. 1887, d. 31 Mar 1932)

7. Jane Minchin (b. 1892)
8. Irene Goulburn Minchin (b. 23 Feb 1894, d. 7 Mar 1970)

Her husband Andrew died on 26 September 1915. His death notice stated that Mary Minchin was of Ariah Park, New South Wales at the time of his death.

In the 1930 Australia, Electoral Rolls (1903-1980), Mary Minchin was recorded living at 664 Olive Park, Albury, Hume, New South Wales, occupation "home duties".

She passed away on 14 January 1939 and was buried at Albury Pioneer Cemetery, North Albury, Albury City, New South Wales, Australia^[1].
