Biography

John Jemison was born about November 11, 1820 in Ireland. His parents were William Jemison and Sidney Reynolds. The 1901 census suggests that he was born in Ireland in about 1820 and immigrated in 1822, when he was a young child.^[1]

He married Mary Howey on August 16, 1842.^[2] Together they had 8 children:

6. Lucina Jemison
7. James Jemison
8. George Jemison

He married Esther Armstrong on January 01, 1877.^[3] Together they had 4 children:

4. Herman Jamieson

He died on September 15, 1909 in Smiths Falls, Lanark, Ontario, Canada.^[4][5]
