Biography

• ROY P. DANIELSEN Entered peacefully into rest in Hayward on December 26, 2007. He was 85 years old. Born in San Francisco on April 25, 1922, Roy was a longtime resident of San Leandro. He had proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and had survived the sinking of the USS Rowan on September 11, 1943. Roy retired from the Painters Union, Local #3 and enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and gardening. He is survived by his devoted sons and daughters in law, Daniel J. & Elisabeth Danielsen of Helena, MO and Gary P. & Anthea Danielsen of Cardiff, CA; son in law, Chris Walker of San Lorenzo; brother, Walter C. Danielsen of Livermore; cousin, Robert Jacks of San Francisco; granddaughters, Julie and Jennifer and many loving extended family and friends. Roy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lucille in 2001, and his daughter, Marlene Danielsen Walker. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo. The vigil service will begin at 3:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Monday at St. Felicitas Catholic Church, 1604 Manor Blvd., San Leandro. Roy will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
