James was born in 1676. He was the son of John Harvey and Elizabeth Stopford.
He was educated by Mr Young of Dublin and entered Trinity College Dublin on 15 November 1699. B.A. 1704, M.A. 1707. [1]
Rector of Rathaspect
He was collated Treasurer of Ferns and Leighlin on 13 February 1716/17. (FF.) He held this office till his death in 1760.
James married Martha Beauchamp, daughter of John Beauchamp, of Ballyloughane, co. Carlow, and Katherine Vigors, who d. 23 Dec. 1760
