Clas August was born in Hössna parish 24 September 1856. He was the fourth son of Lars Göran Jansson in Grafhult and his wife Christina Danielsdotter.[1] It seems that as his brothers moved out, they adopted the name Grafström after their birth place. (Their father never did).[2]
Klas August Grafström must have gone through an education in agricultural management. In 1880 he came from Västergötland to work as Inspector at Bosgård in Väderstad parish, Östergötland.[3] In 1882 he was a book keeper at Öråkersgård in Kungsängen, near Stockholm.[4]
Klas August Grafström married Anna Charlotta Börjesson in Härna (not far from Hössna) 29 June 1888. At the time he was Inspector at Lennartsnäs in Stockholms-Näs.[5] They lived at Lennartsnäs and then moved ito Stockholm in October 1890.[6]
Klas August Grafström died 19 August 1928.[7]
At the time of his death he was the owner of three house properties in Stockholm and a summer home on Kurön, Adelsö.[8][9]
