Biography

Eleanor Alice Persse, the daughter of Henry Persse and Eleanor Seymour, was born about 1868 at County Galway, Ireland.

She did not marry.

She is recorded in the 1901 Irish Census in the Castleknock, County Dublin, Ireland houshold of her brother, Henry Seymour Persse. ^[1]

She is also recorded in the 1911 Irish Census in her own household.^[2]

She was a beneficiary in her father’s will: “Mr. Persse left his shares and debentures of H. S. Persse Limited, in trust as to £7,500 each for his daughters Sarah Henrietta and Eleanor Alice Persse” ^[3]

ELEANOR ALICE PERSSE deceased late of No.52 Brook Street Mayfair in the City of Westminster Spinster PURSUANT to the Trustee Act 1925 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Creditors and others having claims against the estate of the above deceased who died on the 13th day of November 1937 should give notice thereof in writing to us the undersigned before the 14th day of February 1938 after which date the estate will be distributed amongst the persons entitled thereto having regard only to the claims then notified.
