Biography
Born Raney Annabel Buchanan on 11 Sept 1915, town of Basswood, Manitoba [1] to Alexander Buchanan and Catherine (Kate) [Morrison] [2] Presbyterian. Served WWII RCAF, married in Basswood 5 Jan 1946 to Robert Bruce Miller. Had two sons: Gary born 26 Sept 1948 [3] and Bruce. Nancy died 31 July 2004.

Research Note
Mother's maiden name from her birth registration. Basswood is about 16km north of town of Saskatchewan, where the family was enumerated in 1916 census. Her father was born about 1877 in Ontario, of Scots heritage. Mother's sisters living with them: Christena 19 and Johanna 21. Robert and Nancy had already moved to Everest Kansas by the birth of Gary.
