Eola was born on February 14, 1862 in Van Buren County, Tennessee to parents Shepard Coots and Elizabeth (Hoston) Coots. She married Samuel Green Brock (1861-1942) on February 12, 1880 in Van Buren County, Tennessee.
They had 7 children together;
Samuel died in 1942 and Eola died on February 9, 1943 in White County, Tennessee at the age of 80 years, just 5 days short of her 81st birthday. She was buried on February 10, 1943 at the Cummingsville Cemetery located in Van Buren County, Tennessee. Her grandson, John Lemon Brock was the informant at her death.
