George Washington Baker was born on the 16th of April 1815 in Harford County, Maryland. He was the son of Nicholas Baker, III and Elizabeth (Cole) Baker.
George W. Baker and Elizabeth Greenland were married in Harford County, Maryland on the 26th of February 1838. [1]
1850 US Federal Census for District 2, Harford, Maryland, USA shows George W. Baker (age 35) Married, Head of House, Occupation: Turner of Miscellaneous Wood Products, and his wife Elizabeth (age 32) with four sons - William B (age 11), James B (age 6), Charles N. (age 2) and John H. (age --- months), and two daughters - Sarah R. (age 11) and Lydia C. (age 6). [2]
George passed away on the 10th of October 1888 in Harford County, Maryland. He was buried in the Baker Cemetery in Aberdeen, Harford County, Maryland. [3]
