The ceremony was performed by Elder Bates of Kaikohe and the wedding march was played by Mrs. Leaf. The bride was attired in a beautiful frock of white figured satin with long fitting sleeves and full skirt. Her veil was embroidered net and she carried a shower bouquet of freezias, stock and smilax. Attending the bride were three bridesmaids, Bessie Wynyard, sister of the bride, who wore a frock of green taffeta made with full flared skirt and shoulder frill. She carried a bouquet of purple stock and fern with matching head band of flowers. Maud King, sister of the groom, wore pink taffeta made on similar lines and carried a bouquet of pink stock and fern. Rose Gibbons, niece of the groom, wore mauve taffeta with a bouquet of mauve stock. Mr J Gibbons was bestman and the groomsmen were Messrs I Sullivan and H Davies.
