Margarethe Auguste Ahrens was born on 29 July 1918 in Morris Ranch, Gillespie, Texas to Hugo Ahrens and Ella Kott. She was baptized on 4 July 1920 at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg, Gillespie Co., Texas.^[1]

She married Thomas Melvin Kneese on 26 December 1936.

Together they became the parents of Wayne Hugo Kneese,

Margaret died on and was buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville.^[2]
