Biography

Anthony was born^[1][2][3]on 23 July 1914 to John Davies and Edith Humphreys-Davies and was registered during the third quarter of 1914 in the district of Gower, Glamorgan, Wales, United Kingdom.
Anthony was baptised^[4]on 20 September 1914 in the parish of Oystermouth, Glamorgan. At the time of the ceremony the family resided in Lyndhurst, Mumbles, Glamorgan and Anthony's father John Davies works as a Valuer.

Anthony, who had been awarded the Military Cross, was a Major attached to the 6 Battery, 3 Field Regiment, Royal Indian Artillery, service number 63507, during the second World War and was killed in action, aged twenty eight, on 24 March 1944. He was buried^[5][6]in Plot Face 2, Rangoon Memorial, Rangoon, East Yangon District, Yangon Region, Myanmar.
