Biography

Margherita Rosa Roffinella was born on April 24, 1904, in Montafia, Italy, to Giuseppe Roffinella and Maddalena Marcellina Novarese. ^[1]

Margherita immigrated to the United States on July 23, 1921, arriving in New York City. ^[2]

A year later, Margherita married Quinto Gregory on December 18, 1922, ^[3] in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. ^[4] Together, they had three children: Edea Marcellina (1924-2019), Unico (1925-2017), and a living daughter.

In 1930, Margherita lived at 242 East Housatonic St. in Dalton, Massachusetts, alongside her husband, Quinto; daughter, Edith; son, Unico; mother-in-law, Filomena; brothers-in-law, Agustus and Attilio; and nephew, Bernard Gregory. ^[5]

In 1935 and 1940, Margherita lived at 415 East Housatonic St. in Dalton, Massachusetts, alongside her husband, Giunto; daughters, Edith and [living]; son, Unico; mother-in-law, Philomena; and nephew, Bernard A. Gregory. ^[6]

For the rest of her life, Margherita lived in Dalton, Massachusetts. ^{[7] [3]}

Margherita died on March 2, 2003 in Lenox, Massachusetts. ^{[3] [8]} She was subsequently buried in Saint Patricks Cemetery in Hinsdale, Massachusetts. ^[9]
