Biography

Bertha was born in 1910. She was the daughter of Lon Oliver and Arbelia Murphy.^[1] She was married to Elby Curry in 1925,^[2] T.A. Duke in 1932,^[3][4] and later to Joe Hubert Smith.^[5] She passed away in 1999.^[1][5]

Research Notes

Some sources say she was also married to Corbett Duke around 1945,^[5][6] but no records support that, and she was listed in both the 1940 and 1950 censuses with T.A. Duke as her husband.^[3][4]
