From 1877 to his death in 1905, Julius lived with his family in Cannon, Grayson, Texas, United States.[15][16][17][18]
After Mary's death, he married Eliza Paul on 3 July 1884 in Collin County, Texas, United States.
John passed away on 25 May 1905 at his home in Cannon, Grayson, Texas, United States. His obituary states he was paralyzed a few days before death. He was buried the following day at the Cannon Cemetery in Cannon.[19]
