Biography
Henry, son of Thomas Raffles & Susanna, was baptised on 27 June 1742 in St Andrew by the Wardrobe with St Ann Blackfriars, London, England.[1] [2]
On the 25 July 1757, Henry was apprenticed to John Clayton a citizen and tinplate worker of London for a period of eight years, his father giving his occupation as “gentleman”[3]
Henry married Mary Ward on 28 February 1775 in St Clement Danes, London, Westminster, England.[4]
Henry died before 1782 as mentioned in his father’s will.
