Anders was born in 1830. At the time his parents lived at a cotter's farm (Norw.: 'husmannsplass') named Melen belonging to the Langli farm in Rindal parish, Romsdal's county, Norway. [1]

Christian confirmation 24 Oct 1847 in Rindal. [2]

Married Marit Einarsdotter (b. 1832) on 7 Dec 1856 in Rindal. [3]

From 1863, Anders had a leasing contract (Norw.: 'bygslingskontrakt') for the cotter's farm Midttrøa belonging to the Grøset farm in Rindal. [4]

Listed in the 1865 census as married cotter (Norw.: 'husmann') living with his family at a cotter's farm belonging to Grøset. [5]

Emigrated to USA in 1881. [6]
