Biography

Harry Waldofsky migrated from Russian Empire to United States.

Harry was born in Tarashcha, in Kiev. He came to the United States around 1902 or 1903 with his father and other Waldorf/Waldofsky relatives, many of them in the butchering business. They settled in Philadelphia. In about 1910, he married Mary Rochivarger, also of Tarashcha, who came to the US about 1907 or 1908. Around 1914, Harry began a scrap metal and junk business, which he maintained for many years. Harry died in 1952 and was buried in Montefiore Cemetery.
