Biography
Catherine was the daughter of James Browell and Charlotte King. She was born in 1804.[1] She was baptised at St Peter Cornhill, London on 7 January 1805 with her birth date given as 29 August 1804.[2]
On 11 July 1833 Catherine married Henry Blenkarne at St Thomas's, Southwark.[3][1] They had three children:
- Charlotte Mary, born in 1834[1]
- James Cutcliffe, born in 1835[1] and baptised on 11 June 1835[4]
- Catherine Isabella, born in London on 18 July 1840, and baptised at St Anthony's, Budge Row on 19 August 1840[5]
The 1871 census lists Catherine at Lincoln, Lincolnshire, widowed, age 66, born London. Sister Charlotte K Browell, 70, born Gosport, Hampshire.[6]
Catherine died on 26 February 1875.[7] Her death was registered at Lincoln, Lincolnshire in the 1st quarter of 1875.[8] She was buried at Eastgarte cemetery, Lincoln in March 1875.[9]
