Biography

Augustus was born in 1786. He was the son of William Campbell and Annie Pitcairn.^[1]

He was ordained in the Church of England and became Rector of Liverpool before scaling down to vicar of Childwall in Lancashire.

He married Elizabeth Aspinall in Liverpool in 1816^[2] and they had 4 children:

Although all his children were given the middle name Pitcairn, in honour of his mother, it was not used as a surname.

They continued to live in Childwall after their children grew up.^[3][4]

He passed away in 1870 in Childwall. His main beneficiaries were outside the family.^[5]
