Biography
Rev. William Wood was born in Lancashire, England, in 1815.
He married Mary Scairsbrick at Saint Mary, Edge Hill, Lancashire, on 6 Feb 1837.[1]
They migrated to South Australia in about 1849-50. William Wood was the 2nd minister of St. Mark's Church, Penwortham, SA.[2] The family later moved to New South Wales.
Mary died in 1885.[3]
He died at the Pitt Town parsonage on 24 February, 1886,[4][5] and was buried in the St James Anglican Churchyard Cemetery, Pitt Town.[6]
