TOWNSEND, EDWARD, Pen. (Mr Spiller), Apr. 3, 1745, aged 17 ; s. of Samuel, Generosus ; b. Co. Cork.
Burke's Irish Family Records 1976 p. 1115 gives the same date of death (19 Jun 1836) for Edward Mansel Townsend and for his son Samuel, but does not remark upon the implication that Edward appears to have lived to the age of 108, suggesting an error. The Townsend (Townshend) Family Records website estimates that Edward died Abt 1806.[1]
