He passed away on 19 June 1937 in East Melbourne, Victoria, Australia^[6] and was buried at the Murchison Cemetery, Murchison, Greater Shepparton City, Victoria, Australia^[7].

Mr. E. J. Gregory

Mr Edward John Gregory, an old resident of the Murchison district and a brother of Mr Gregory MHR died in Melbourne on Saturday aged 84 years. He was born in Melbourne in 1853 and went to Moorilim in 1871. He entered a storekeeping business in Moorilim, and when he left that town in 1893 he began business in Murchison as an hotelkeeper and storekeeper. Mr Gregory had held office as president of the Dargalong and Murchison District Turf Club and had been associated with many public organisations. He is survived by two sons and four daughters The funeral took place at Murchison on Monday, the Rev Father E. Tehan officiating at the graveside.
