Henry was born in 1855 in Appanoose, Iowa. He was the second husband of Elizabeth E. (Folwell) Bowman, widow of Daniel Spicer Bowman. They married in 1875 in Madison County, Iowa and had one son together:
By 1900, they had removed to Sumner, Kansas and by 1910 they had relocated to Caddo, Oklahoma. Their son had moved Caddo County, Oklahoma and settled on a farm south of Hydro in 1901.
He passed away in 1917 in Caddo Township, Caddo, Oklahoma.
OBITUARY in The Hydro Review - Hydro, Oklahoma, 28 Jun 1917, Thu, Page 4: ...."Henry Allen Moore was born in Iowa 1855 died June 21, 1917 age 62 years and 24 days He was married to Elizebeth Bowman March 11, 1875. To this union was born one son John S F Moore residing in Caddo township. His wife and adopted daughter Lillis, proceeded him to the spirit world. He leaves to mourn a devoted son John S F Moore and five grandchildren, three foster grand children, two brothers T B Moore Plains Kansas, E T Moore Crescent Oklahoma, a sister Mrs Win Lucas Medicine Lodge Kansas. Mr Moore was a Christian man of high standing having united with the Evangelical church three years ago at North Pleaseant Valley. His friends were many He was a resident of Caddo township for fifteen years.
