Biography
Henrietta (Moore) Pepper was born in Ireland.
Henrietta Moore was born about 1747. She was the eldest daughter and eventual co-heir of Richard Moore, Esq., of Barne, County Tipperary.
She married Thomas Pepper in September 1772, by Licence[1].
Thomas and Henrietta had the following children:
- Thomas Pepper (b. 12 Oct 1774, m. Mary Louisa Hales, d. 8 Oct 1857)
- Captain George Pepper (b. 15 Sep 1775, d. unmarried 10 Dec 1850)
- Major Richard Pepper (b. 12 May 1778, m. Margaret Aldwell, d. 27 Dec 1871)
- Colonel Henry Pepper (b. 1780, died unmarried 4 Mar 1828)
- Colonel Hercules Henry Pepper (b. abt. 1782, died unmarried 25 Jul 1826)
- Lt-Col Charles Hampden Pepper (b. 1783, m. Matilda Mary St George, d. 21 Oct 1848)
- Reverend Edward Pepper (b. abt 1790, m. 1stly Elizabeth Hales, m. 2ndly Frances Mary Yielding, d. 10 May 1870)
- Octavius Pepper (an officer in the 28th Foot, died 1835 unmarried)
- Henrietta Pepper (died unmarried)
- Anne Pepper (b. abt 1776, m. Rev. George Hamilton, d. 8 Feb 1849)
- Charlotte Pepper (b. abt. 1785, d. unmarried 5 June 1834)
- Harriet Pepper (b. abt 1787, m. James Lowry, d. 18 Apr 1834)[2][3]
She had at one time seven sons actively employed in the armies of their King and country. Henrietta was living at Great Charles Street, Mountjoy-square, Dublin when her son Henry Pepper died on 4 March 1828.
Henrietta passed away in 1831, aged 84.
