Professor Daniel Penman Esq married Clementine Menzies on 11 Aug 1843 in New York.^[2] At the time Daniel was a Professor of Mathematics at Columbia College in New York. ^[3]

He can be found in the 1850 US Census. He is 44 years old and working as a clerk in a lumber yard. His wife Clementina is 36 years old and their son John is 6 years old. ^[4]
