Algie Percy Ware, born September 29, 1880. An elegant, cultured and refined young woman.[1]
Funeral services for Mrs. Howard M. Dumbell, 54, of 128 Hermitage Road [Charlotte, NC] who died yesterday morning [Saturday, 23 March 1946] ... in a Charlotte hospital from a heart attack, will be held this afternoon at St. Marvin's Episcopal Church. ... burial will be in Elmwood cemetery. ... Surviving Mrs. Dumbell are her husband; a son, Capt. James C. Dumbell; a daughter, Miss Marjorie S. Dumbell, of Charlotte; and a sister, Mrs. John L. Cobbs of Larchmont, N.Y. ... She was born in Birmingham, Ala., on September 29, 1891, the daughter of James C. Ware and Mrs. Lillie Ware of Montgomery, Ala. [2]
