Connie Jo Dixon was born on 20 November 1946 in Vinita, Craig County, Oklahoma to Conrad Glen Dixon (1925-1963) and Betty Jo Lewis (1928-2001). ^[1]

Connie Jo (Dixon) Howard went to join the Lord on Saturday, March 13, 2010, after a lengthy battle with heart and lung problems. Connie was born on November 20, 1946 in Vinita, Oklahoma to Conrad Glen Dixon and Betty Jo (Lewis) Dixon, both of whom preceded her in death.

On June 19, 1964, Connie was married to Wilbur Ora Howard in Nowata, Oklahoma, who survives at the home in Afton, Oklahoma. To this marriage three children were born, Lori Warner, of Bernice, Oklahoma; Lisa Carpenter, of Winchester, Kentucky; and David Howard, of Afton, Oklahoma, all of whom survive Connie.

Connie and Wilbur were the proud grandparents of five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Connie is also survived by two brothers, DeWayne Dixon of Coffeyville, Kansas; Lynn Dixon of Vinita, Oklahoma; one sister, Diana Boyle of Coffeyville, Kansas; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, Oklahoma, between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010. Funeral services will be the following day, Saturday, March 20, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. There will be no graveside services, Connie will be cremated.

The family recommends in lieu of flowers or gifts, interested parties should consider donations to the American Heart Association and/or the American Lung Association.
