Biography

When James Daniel Wells Sr was born on 25 April 1935, in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, his father, William Ritchey Wells, was 40 and his mother, Alice Mary Cullen, was 33.


The 1940 Census found the Wells family living at 1281 Warner Terrace in the Normandy Township of St. Louis, Missouri. Dan was 4 years old.

Dan was 14 years old on April 18, 1950, when Mrs. Helen Allbaugh took the Census. The Wells family were living at 2010 Blendon St. St. Louis, Missouri when she visited them.

He graduated from SLUH in 1954. He enlisted into the Army on 4 Mar 1957 and was discharged 4 August 1962.

He married Helen Mary Evers on 23 April 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri, United States.

He died on 30 May 1998, at the age of 63, and was buried in Lemay, St. Louis, Missouri, United States at The Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
