Biography

General Jackson Moss was born on 23 Oct 1858 in Meigs, Tennessee, United States, son of John Calvin Moss (1830 - 1864) and Sarah Armitz (Rowden) Moss (1835 - 1916).

In the 1860 census General (age 0) was at 8th Civil District, Meigs, Tennessee.[1] In the 1870 census Gene (age 11) was in District 8, Grainger, Tennessee, United States.[2]

General married Elzada Denie Coffey (1871 - 1948) on 7 July 1887 in Collin, Texas.[3] Their children were:

  1. Sarah Leona (Moss) Parr (1889 - 1959)
  2. Orlia Jack Moss (1891 - 1975).

General died on 11 Apr 1892 in Collin, Texas aged 33.
