Biography

Natale Scalise was born about 1888 in Italy. He was the son of Frank Scalise and Antonia Perri Scalise.^[1]

He emigrated to the United States. In June 1917 he was mentioned in a United States military draft record. He was 29 yrs. old and worked as a driver in a boiler shop owned by Struthers Wells Co. in Warren, Pennsylvania. He was single and supporting his mother. He had served one year as a Private in the Italian Infantry. He was described as medium build, medium height with brown hair and brown eyes.^[2]

Natale married Rose Vescio (January 3, 1907-2005), a native of Warren, Warren, Pennsylvania, United States about June 15, 1922 in Warren. She was the daughter of Felice Vescio and Rosanna Maruca and a member of Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church. They had five sons and one daughter.^[3] Children:

2. Robert Felice Scalise, 1927-2016

In the 1930 census Natale (age 40) was the married head of household in Warren, Warren, Pennsylvania.^[4]

In the 1940 census Natale (age 51) was the married head of household with six children in Warren, Conewango Township, Warren, Pennsylvania.^[5]

In the 1950 census Natale (age 61) was living with his wife Rose (age 43) in Warren, Conewango Township, Warren, Pennsylvania, United States. They had three children at home; ages 13-17 years old.^[6]

He passed away (aged 65) in Warren, Warren, Pennsylvania, United States. Natale was mentioned on a memorial in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Pleasant Township, Warren County, Pennsylvania, United States with a death date of 12 July 1954.^[7]
