Frances was born about 1500. Frances is called Frances Baker [sic] in at least two sources[1][2], but this may be because her second husband was William Barker.
“Will of Whitmore.—William Whitmore of Apley, son of Richard Whitmore of Aston and Frances his wife, who afterwards married William Barker of Aston, died in London, August 8th, 1593, having signed his will two days before. Among its bequests are the following: “I doe give and bequeathe unto John Barker, Francis Barker and William Barker my half-bretheren twenty marks apeece.” He bequeathed also £2000 to each of his six daughters. One of the witnesses to the will is Walter Pritchett. From this it appears that John, Francis and William Barker were all living in 1593. No mention is made of either Richard or Randulph, as in the MSS. and Visitations.”[3]
She passed away in 1583. [4]
