Biography

Andrew J Greenway was born in 1834 in Tennessee. He was the son of James Greenway and Penelope unknown, from Monroe County, Tennessee.^[1]

In the 1860 US Census, Andrew was living in the Koo Wee Skoo Wee District, Indian Lands, Arkansas. ^[2]

In 1859 he married Lucy Riley. They had three children.
Alonzo, born 1861
Minnie, born 1867
John, born 1869

In 1870, Andrew, his wife Lucy, and three children were residing in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. He was employed as a farmer.^[3][4]

Lucy was one of the 13 persons who formed the Presbyterian Church in Wichita.

By 1890, Andrew and son Alonzo were farmers in the Cooweescoowee District of Cherokee Nation. They had about 140 acres under cultivation. ^[5]

Andrew passed away before 1880. ^{[6] [7]}
