He was educated by Mr Hubbard and entered Trinity College Dublin on 8 July 1771, aged 17. B.A. 1776. [1]
He was a Barrister-at-Law - Irish Bar 1789.
Philip married Jane Vigors, daughter of John Vigors, of Old Leighlin, co. Carlow, on 12 March 1784.
Children
Philip, of Merrion Square, Dublin, died unmarried on 11 February 1858.
Richard, of Hermitage, co. Dublin, Major in the Army, married Susanna Kavanagh, daughter of Thomas Kavanagh, of Borris, co. Carlow.
John (Rev.), of Old Leighlin, co. Carlow, b. 3 April, 1791; married Ellen Armstrong, daughter of Thomas Armstrong, of Farney Castle, co. Tipperary, on 29 October 1819.
