Gayle, Thanks for the note. Happy to help. There are several ways to check on a merge. First, on this page, at the top right, select Find, then Pending Merges, and then sort them by "Show only the merges/matches on your watch list"

The second way is to go to the actual profile, and scroll all the way to the bottom where there is a section showing Merge activity, with links to compare (Which should always be done) and then once they are up side by side if you agree you can select the merge option (at the top of the comparison page) or if you have doubts but it probably is the same person (rarely) an unmerged match, and if it is clearly NOT the same person, create a REJECTED MATCH. I go through my PENDING MERGES regularly in case I missed one on my Wikifeed updates. It' a good idea.
