Giacomo was born at 3:30 on the morning of 1 March 1909 at 24 Corso Francesca in the town of Corato, in the Bari region of Puglia, Italy. He was the son of Paolo De Robertis and Rosa Sinigaglia.

He passed away on 29 September 1927 in the town of Bari.

Interestingly, a note in the margin of his birth record where this death date and place was added, also had a post script "con Bruno Domenico", with another date / note added afterwards: "Trani, 28-5-1931, Il cavalliere Moffre"
