Amelia Susan Whittaker was born on 20 March 1827 in Abbeyleix, County Laois, Ireland as the daughter of Arthur Whittaker Jr (FamilySearch Profile) and Sarah Lawlor (FamilySearch Profile).^[1]

Amelia immigrated on 29 June 1848 in New York City, New York, New York, United States.^[2][3]
