Biography

Rosina McDonnell married William James Sharpe in 1870 in Cooma, New South Wales.^[1]

They had eight children.^[2]

Rosina Sharp married Francis Devine in 1889 in Sydney, New South Wales.^[3] There were no children of the second marriage.

DEVINE AND WIFE V ROBINSON AND ANOTHER

This was an action brought by Francis Devine, of Macquarie Street, Sydney, and Rosina Devine, his wife, against J A Robinson and George McAdam, trading as A Robinson and Co of Pitt-street, Sydney for the recovery of £50 cash paid by plaintiff to the defendants as a deposit in respect of a certain purchase of an hotel. Plaintiff was non-suited.^[4]

Rosina, child of James & Ann, died in 1919 in Singleton, New South Wales.^[5]

DEATH OF MRS DEVINE

Mrs Rosina Devine, aged 77, relict of the late Mr Francis Devine, passed away yesterday morning at the residence of her son-in-law (Mr C. A. Maguire), "Tenberge," Campbell-street. The deceased had been ailing for about 12 months. She was a native of Belfast, Ireland, and came to New South Wales at an early age. The late Mrs Devine was twice married, her first husband being the late Mr Wm. Sharp. The issue of the first marriage was eight children, of whom four are living, viz., Mrs J. Gately (West Maitland); Mrs E. Cummins (Singleton), Miss Rose Sharp (Singleton), and Mrs C. A. Maguire (Singleton). There were no children of the second union. The deceased had been a resident of Singleton, for about 12 years, and formerly lived in Sydney. The funeral takes place this afternoon at 4 o'clock.^[2]
