Daughter of Edward & Elizabeth Newcomer Titzel 19:15, 9 February 2023 (UTC)19:15, 9 February 2023 (UTC)19:15, 9 February 2023 (UTC)19:15, 9 February 2023 (UTC) Ickesburg, April 11. --- Funeral services were held Thursday for Mrs. Margaret Orris, who died at her home Monday morning, April 6, of cerebral hemorrhage. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Titzel and was born near Loysville, October 27, 1844, and was aged 86 years, 5 months and 9 days.

January 30, 1868, she was united in marriage to Charles L. Orris and to this union were born seven children, five of whom survive: namely, Edward I., Henry L., Charles A., Rufus W., and Newton A., all of this place. David C. and Clara Mae, wife of Jas. G. Boden, preceded her in death. Besides her children, she is survived by two brothers, Theo Titzel, of Middletown, and Joe Titzel, of Portland, Oregon. In her youth she united with the old stone Union Church of Saville, later she had her membership transferred to the Reformed Church, of this place, remaining a faithful member until death, although being prevented from attending in later years on account of her health. Her pastor, the rev. S. W. Beck, officiated, with interment in the Buffalo Cemtery. The pallbearers were E. C. Reisinger, A. R. Wallett, F. G. Wallett, C. M. Bender, John Lesh and i. M. Johnson.

Those who attended from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Titzel, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Titzel and Charles Titzel, of Harrisburg; Theo Titzel, of Middletown; Mrs. Scott Orris, two daughters and son, of Duncannon.
