Dormer Herbert, named for his father's sister Countess Anna Sophia Dormer, wife of Robert Dormer, 1st Earl of Carnarvon. He was the youngest son of James Herbert and his wife Jane Spiller, named as such in the 1677 Will of his father James, dated 2 April 1677. [1] He was at that time under age.
He died in London shortly after his father, and was buried on 17 August 1677 at Kingsey, Buckinghamshire. [2] Administration of his estate was granted on 23 January 1692 to his mother, the Honorable Jane Herbert, Widow. [3]
